Polaroid Diary (LO1)

Just a quick post to let you now I have updated my Polaroid Diary page with more images. This is an ongoing project for me, for which I took inspiration from fellow ‘Intimate Photography’ photographers such as Nan Goldin and Hiromix. All my image are shot on my Polaroid Land Camera Automatic 210 with either Fuji FP-100c or Fuji FP-300B, (although this has since stopped being manufactured so I’m madly stock piling it). The aim of the project is to simply document events within my life and see what patterns or memes arise. With a project like this I believe it will develop more meaning as times goes on and the body of work builds. I hope to represent myself and my environment and the relationship I have within it.

Polaroid Diary (LO1)

In the coming week I am about to start a particularly trying period for me, which will have a significant emotion impact. Therefore to serialise the emotional element I intend to take a photograph daily of an object that represents my emotions at that time. Also to add to the singular moment element I will be taking all the images using a Polaroid Land camera. Polaroid is notorious for it’s instantaneous therefore I thought it would be a fitting medium to use. I do not want the images to be open to manipulation, but rather be a true and honest reflection of my emotional state in a single moment.  I will post the images on the page above titles Polaroid Diary.
